Amy Fehn is a Partner at Wachler & Associates, P.C. Ms. Fehn has counseled physicians and healthcare organizations in healthcare regulatory compliance matters for the past 13 years. Ms. Fehn also regularly represents providers in the defense of RAC and Medicare audits, drafting and review of physician and managed care contracts, and the development of compliance programs.
Ms. Fehn graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Akron School of Law, where she was an associate editor of the Akron Law review and an adjunct instructor in the legal writing program. Prior to graduating from law school, she worked as a critical care nurse and as a clinical systems analyst for a hospital system.
Ms. Fehn has authored and co-authored numerous articles on healthcare issues and has spoken on HIPAA and Medicare Audits to various local and national organizations. She is also the co-author of chapters focusing on RAC and Medicare audits for two national publications and has co-authored workbooks on HIPAA Privacy for the Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) and the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association (FASA). She also co-authored a workbook on HIPAA Security published by United Communications Group and currently participates on the ABA's HITECH task force.
